Agnes Epperson, 91, nee Thingwold of Bartlett and formerly of DesPlaines; wife of the late Royle II; mother of Valerie (John) Janicki and the late Royle III; grandmother of Jason (Aleytha), Eric and Rachel; great grandmother of AJ; sister of the late Harold (late JoAnn); aunt of Bill. Years ago, Agnes and Royle were active members of Trinity Lutheran Church in DesPlaines. They both enjoyed singing in the church choir. She also was a dedicated employee of Borg Warner Research Co. in DesPlaines where she worked for 25+ years. She took great pride in being able to balance her job as a mother and as an administrative assistant at Borg Warner.
Education was always an important part of the Epperson home. In her later years Agnes volunteered as a reading grandma at Ridge Circle Elementary School in Streamwood. Family vacations to Minocqua are fond memories for everyone. Agnes loved animals, especially their Boxer, Snitch and the various birds they kept in the house. Family was always important to Agnes. Her dedication and compassion in taking care of her husband when he needed more care left a lasting impression on her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchild brought her great joy whenever she needed it the most.
