Arnold "Arnie" T. Lidquist, 83, of Schaumburg and formerly of Norwood Park; husband of Janet, nee Jewell; step dad of Renee (Bill) Rzeszutko and Susan (Dan) Doyle; grandpa Arnie of Rachel and Riley Brands and Max and Jake Doyle; brother of the late Barbara Lidquist; cousin of Annette, Noreen, Elsie, Joyce, Barbara (Gerard) and Debbie (Steve). Arnie was a mail carrier in Park Ridge for 35 years. He enjoyed playing hockey in a league with Chicago fire fighters. He also played baseball, even getting a tryout with the Chicago White Sox. He was a member of the Verdani Swedish Lodge and the Independent Order of Swithiod. He was a 1955 graduate of Steinmetz High School. Most people would know Arnie as a good person, gentle and easy going. If you knew Arnie, you knew he was an lifelong Viking fan.
