Obituary for Carol Paweleck (Kuhns)

Carol Paweleck passed away peacefully, the morning of Tuesday September 1st with some of her family members beside her. Due to COVID-19 regulations she was not able to see as many people as she would have liked in her final weeks.
Carol was born in Chicago to the late Alvina Knapp and Louis Kuhns. Shortly into her life a loving man, Ralph Knapp, became her father figure and raised her as his own daughter. Also known as the Nanie, Carol marched to the beat of her own drum and did what she wanted when she wanted. She is remembered as the life of the party whose quick sarcastic wit turned heads and made people laugh late into the night.
Carol prided herself on picking out the perfect gift for each person in her life. Birthday and Christmas shopping was a year round event. She picked out or made specific gifts for each of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that was truly something that had expressed interest in or that she knew they would love. Her other hobbies included reading, gardening and the occasional trip to the casino in her younger years.
She never remarried after her husband passing. Her strength in working to provide for herself and her family led to a generation of strong-willed children and will shape their family for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Paweleck, her brother Lou Kunz, her brother and sister in law Joe and Joyce Paweleck and her sister in law Donna (Walter) Shaw. She is remembered fondly by brother Gary (Michelle) Knapp, her children Debbie (Terry) Hudkins, George Paweleck, Laurie Paweleck Modaff, Jeannie (Mark) Skuran, her grandchildren Brianna, Ryan (Emily), Taryn (Steve), Elijah, Dustin, Kyle, Josh, Trevor, Tyler ,Cayla and Hannah and her great grandchildren Myles, Lexi, Avery, Lucy and Desmond. She is also fondly remembered by nieces, and nephews and their children that she loved dearly.

Memorial service for Carol will be held at Countryside Funeral Home located 1640 Green Meadows Blvd Streamwood IL 60107 on Thursday September 10th between 3:30pm and 8:30pm. Funeral will commence on Friday September 11th at St. Adalbert Cemetery located 6800 Milwaukee Ave Niles IL at 1030am.
