Obituary for David Beck
Dave P. Beck, 51, of Streamwood, passed away peacefully on September 1, after a hard-fought, two-year battle with non-Hodgkins and gray-zone lymphomas. He is survived by his parents Paul and Mary Jo (Frank) Walsh; a brother Paul (Nicole Herzog) and his sisters Kristin Walsh (Nick Green) and Kaitlin Walsh and many aunts and uncles.
Dave's true passion was fishing for Muskie. His time spent with his brother trying to catch the ever elusive giant one was what he cherished the most. He was incredibly private and practical. He enjoyed the simple things of life and was never burdened by material things. Best known for his intensity and toughness, his humbleness and private nature obscured from many his most defining qualities – generosity, genuineness and empathy for others. His parting is a tragic loss to all whose lives he touched.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, September 6th, 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood. Funeral Saturday, everyone will meet at St. John the Evangelist Church 502 S. Park Blvd. Streamwood for a memorial mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be private following mass.
