"D.C." Patel passed on Monday, April 7, 2019 in Elk Grove, IL at the age of 92. He was born on November 13, 1926 in Karamsad, India to Gangaben Patel (deceased). D.C. was a distinguished national scholar at Elphinstone College in Mumbai India, one of the oldest colleges of the University of Mumbai. Soon after completing his degree with high honors, D.C. wed Mrs. Ranjanben Dileepkumar Patel (deceased) and began his successful career as a Textile Mill executive. D.C. was a strong proponent of lifelong learning, he pursued knowledge and spirituality above all else, with deep domain interest in a broad spectrum of topics. Known for his many mantras, he lived life under the singular philosophy, "if you want to be happy, make others happy." He provided a happy life for his children, Hemang, Harita, Mihir (deceased), and Parul. He is survived by his loving grandchildren Anay, Shree, Aesha, Kripa, Shiv, and their families, as well as his siblings, Dr. Pravin C. Patel, Lalitaben J. Patel (deceased), Mrs. Sudhaben N. Amin. All of which will deeply miss his wonderful presence and mentorship.
