Eric L. Jacobson was born in South Dakota, on March 15, 1958, the third child of Delbert Jacobson and Carolyn Diersen Jacobson. Eric graduated from Carleton College. As a computer consultant, he created successful computer environments. He was smart, funny, stubborn, and generous. He supported many charities and was a ten gallon blood donor. Eric lived in Illinois for most of his life but loved to travel and visited 96 countries. He also loved his family, cooking, friends, golf, fishing, bridge, old television shows, and good discussions.
Eric had been dealing with health issues for a few years, but his passing on April 19th was sudden and in his home. He would have chosen a swift end but not so soon as he had places to go and things to see. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Berg Jacobson of Bartlett, IL, sister Sonia Jacobson of Washington, D.C., sister Lisa (Tell) Jacobson-Coffey of Sugar Grove, IL, brother Paul (Laura) Jacobson of Traverse City, MI, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eric requested no visitation or funeral. Please honor him with a kindness to someone in need.
