Obituary for Charlene Seidel
Iva Charlene Seidel, (nee Ward), 84 of Hanover Park, IL passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Charlene was born March 21, 1938 in Chester, OK to Merrill (Bill) and Reva (Floyd) Ward. She married Ray Seidel in Seiling, OK on December 18, 1960. They started their lives together in Big Springs, TX and eventually established a loving home in Hanover Park, IL.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Ray; daughter Kathy (Jim) Weir of Carpentersville, IL; son Ken (Julie) Seidel of Hanover Park, IL; grandchildren Zachary and Anthony Seidel, Shannon Thornhill and Erin Weir; 2 great-grandchildren; along with 3 sisters-in-law Ruthie Seidel, Betty (Dean) Ward, and Connie (Gene) Ward, and many nieces and nephews.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Merrill and Reva (nee Floyd) Ward, brother and sister-in-law Joseph Ward and Virginia Ward-Howard, sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Troy Seifried, brothers Gene and Dean Ward, her in-laws Glenn and Ruth Seidel, brother-in-law and wife Dr. Jerry and Shirley Seidel and brother-in-law and wife Tom and Diane Seidel.
Visitation Tuesday, June 7 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Cremation private at Countryside Crematory. Info (630)289-8054
