Obituary for Jeffrey Walsh

Jeffrey Mason Walsh, 45, of Schaumburg, Illinois passed away on December 16, 2021 after a courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer.

Jeff was born on July 31, 1976 to Deborah (Grey) Waugh and George J. Walsh Jr. He grew up in Rockledge, Florida. After graduating from Rockledge High School, he went on to study at The University of Central Florida.
Jeff met his future wife Sarah (Miller) Walsh while working for The Audit Bureau of Circulations, now known as the Alliance for Audited Media. They were wed on November 6, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois and welcomed their son Liam Mason Walsh in 2013.

Jeff was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of Liam and Sarah and cherished the adventures they experienced together. Jeff radiated a joy for life, he saw the cup half full and would strive to fill it up. Jeff was quick to lend a helping hand, share a great story or throw out a one liner. He enjoyed playing games, was a masterful trivia player and the spark to a good party. His extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned and loved to celebrate.

Jeff was an entrepreneur, he owned and operated a laundromat, built the business and successfully sold it. He was featured in the Wall Street Journal for this endeavor. Jeff was a great resource for advice regarding stocks and investments for friends and family. Jeff was always nurturing others to succeed in bringing their dreams to reality.
Anyone who knew Jeff knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Jeff was preceded in death by grandparents Marguerite (Bjorkman) Grey, Guy Grey, Judith (Farquhar) Walsh and George J. Walsh. He is survived by his wife Sarah (Miller) Walsh, son Liam Walsh, mother Deborah (Grey) Waugh (Greg Waugh), father George J. Walsh Jr. (Lynette Boyles), and brother George J. Walsh III (Stacey Hull-Walsh). He was the ultimate “tickle monster” to all of his nieces and nephews.
