Jeff Curtis, 64, of Bartlett, IL passed away on December 25, 2019.
He was born on October 19, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late Arthur and Irene Curtis. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1974. Jeff married Carolyn Sear on June 4, 1983. He was the father to Noah and Joshua Curtis. Jeff was a race mechanic and owned an auto-part store in downtown Bartlett. He played softball for the Bartlett Sixty-Sixers for over 20 years. Jeff worked at S.E.S.(Steve’s Equipment Service) for over 30 years as the parts counterman for heavy construction equipment, retired in July 2019. He was an avid fisherman and woodworker. Santa Jeff was a second-generation Santa since 1998 with over 20 years as the Santa for the village of Streamwood and for many children. He served as the Santa, with his wife as Mrs. Claus, for the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago for 9 years. They lit the tree for the city of Chicago for 8 years and were well known across the Chicagoland-area. He was a member of numerous Santa organizations and fellowship groups. Santa Jeff was inducted into the Santa Claus Hall of Fame in 2018 as the “Chicagoland Santa”. His favorite words were, Please and Thank you.
Jeff Curtis is survived by his wife, Carolyn, sons Noah (Fiancée; Isabel Montoya) and Joshua Curtis, Brother Dean and Susan Curtis, Sister Cindy Curtis, many nieces and nephews, and those who never stopped believing.
