Joseph H. Loeffler, 80, of Elgin and formerly of Chicago; dear father of Michael, Joe (Christina Weiman), Mary (Joe) Whetter and the late Steven; cherished grandpa of Kyle, Evan, Cheyenne and Jordan; caring brother of Theresa (Edward) Fischer; fond uncle of Wayne, Bob, Julie, Michael, Maryann and Danny; loving companion of Beverly, nee Dudek. Joe was a dedicated, hard working truck driver for Pritikin and Becker in Humboldt Park, who delivered milk to his customers faithfully - rain or shine - for 43 years. Joe was known for his generosity, especially during the holidays. He was a proud, independent, man of few words, who was strict but fair. He was a wonderful father who taught by example. He was an excellent cook. He enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin and on the Fox River. In retirement, he appreciated the simpler things in life - spending time with family and being a grandpa were important to him.
