Karen A. Lewis, 80, of Maple Park, formerly Elgin, died Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Born November 24, 1938 in Chicago. Karen was an avid reader. She was a great cook and enjoyed traveling and staying involved with politics. Karen was also a great piano player and shared her love of music with her children. She will be missed by her family and friends. Beloved wife of 32 years to Michael; loving mom of Beth (Greg Surace) Steveley, Eddie (Laura) Finley, Lisa (Sam) Lucente; cherished granny of Michelle, Karen, Adam, Christina (Matthew) and Nicole (Thure); dear great grandma of Rebecca, Donnie and Hannah; kind daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Haller and caring sister of the late Leslie Eugene Donald. Memorial visitation 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, would be appreciated.
