Memorial gathering for Karen A. Wendel nee Radaz of Schaumburg for 43 years will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 10:00am. until time of service 11:00a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church 202 E. Schaumburg Rd. Schaumburg. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org.

Born March 7, 1943 in Chicago, Karen died Friday December 2, 2016.

She is a very caring lady who loved her family and others very much. She is best known as being a "great cook" and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and listening to K-Love radio. She was always there to support her family and others.

Karen is the beloved wife of 53 years of Wayne H.; loving mother of Debra Fender and Wayne (Theresa) Wendel; proud grandmother of Bradley, Brandon and Ashley Fender, Jennifer, Maria and Brittany Wendel; cherished daughter of the late William and Katherine Radaz nee Schmidt; dear sister of Jan (Phil) Lombardi; fond aunt of Sheri (Eric) Schmidt and Michael Lombardi; great aunt of Austin and Carli Schmidt.
