Leslie J. DePaolo, 77, of Streamwood and formerly of Cleveland, Oh. and Heartland, Wi.; husband (for 50 years) of Elena, nee DiFranco; father of Gino (Nancy), Dina (Michael) McClure, Nicholas (Lisa), Christina (Brian) Dent and Monica DePaolo; papa of Brianna (Cody), Samuel, Anthony, Nicholas, Luke, Tyler, Mathew, Atessa and Andrew; brother of Josephine (Tony) Ranallo and Madeline (John) Paratore; son of the late Nicholas and the late Rose, nee DeCillo. Les was a dedicated employee of GE Lighting for 37 years, retiring as a distribution manager. He most recently worked for Costco, as a greeter, in St. Charles for 10 years. He was a proud Army veteran who served his country in the Vietnam War. He found fulfillment in guiding young couples, for 47 years, as a marriage encounter counselor at Resurrection Church. His expertise came from he and Elena raising a wonderful family that they are both so proud of. Les was happiest when he was surrounded by family. Visitation Friday 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Saturday 8:30 am prayers at the funeral home proceeding to Resurrection Church 30W350 Army Trail Road Wayne, Il., mass 9:30 am. Interment private.
