Obituary for Linda Giers

On Thursday November 5, 2020, Linda Ann Giers, loving wife and mother of 2 young men, passed away at the age of 54 after an 8 year battle with breast cancer.

Linda was born on July 6, 1966 in Chicago, Il. to Larry and Barbara Schoeps. She graduated in 1984 from Streamwood High School. Linda began working as a travel agent and then in the public school system as a clerical assistant. On August 25, 1990, Linda married William Robert Giers. They raised two sons Kyle and Eric.
Linda had a passion for cooking and strongly felt that family dinners were a vital part of family life. She was especially known for her holiday baking. Linda also loved to travel and relaxing on a beach was her happy place. Linda was known for her positive outlook on life, infectious smile and kindness to others.

Linda’s 2 sons were her greatest pride and joy in life. You could always find Linda behind the scenes at all of their sports activities cheering them on and being their biggest cheerleader. Linda always considered herself extremely lucky to find her soul mate in her husband Bill.

She is survived by her beloved husband Bill; loving sons Kyle and Eric; caring daughter of Barbara and the late Larry; dear sister of Kathy (Rob) Cebulski, Jeff (Cindy) Schoeps and Susie (Dan) Urbanski.
