Obituary for Loretta Lisowski (Kryger)

Loretta Lisowski, nee Kryger, age 93, originally of Chicago and currently of Elk Grove Village, passed away on May 1, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Walter (Moe) Lisowski and loving mother of her late son, Kenneth. Fond sister of her late brother Chester (Ivy) Kryger and late sisters Irene (late Edward), Evelyn (late Ray) Fertwagner, Mary Ann (late Chester) Mirus and Theresa (late Chester) Bialek. Loving sister in law to Ed (Carol) Lisowski, Frank (Nancy) Lisowski, late Tom (Fern) Lisowski, Bernice (John) and Sylvia (Nick). Lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great -great nieces and nephews who knew her affectionately as "Aunt Lor".
Loretta was an active member of the Elk Grove Senior Center, participated in many of their clubs and activities and frequently went to their various outings and events. Her favorite things to do included Bingo, playing cards and going out to eat (especially to get soup). Prior to moving to Elk Grove, Loretta lived on Long Avenue in Chicago for many years. She worked at the railroad, where she was a file clerk for more than 25 years. Everyone knew her as a sweet, kind, caring and generous individual. She will be greatly missed by all, but remembered fondly for her personality and love of life.
Visitation Sunday, May 5th, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 South Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Burial will be private at Fairview Memorial Park on Monday.
