Obituary for Madeleine Iheanyichukwu

Mrs. Madeleine Ijeoma Alechi Iheanyichukwu was born on Mary 25, 1958, in the family of Udo Ozoma and Ezinne Beatrice Ejiatu Akanno, in Umuezeala Uba in Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria.

She was the granddaughter of late Lolo Ugo Ahugo and Late Eze Ojinnaka Okwaraojiaku, the first Paramount Ruler of Umuaka in Njaba Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria.

Madeleine spent her early years at Ihioma Girls’ Secondary School and later moved to Port Harcourt with her father. She completed her secondary school education at Ogbakira Government College. After secondary school, she attended Abia State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Science degree.

Madeleine married Mr. David Iheanyichukwu, from Umoke in Owerri-Nkwoji in Nkwerre Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria. They had three daughters and a son.

In 2000, she relocated to the United States of America to join her husband. Being the lover of education, Madeleine returned to school to obtain a degree in nursing. As an educator, she instilled the value of education in her daughters.

As a devoted Christian, Madeleine spent quality time in the church worshiping and volunteering. She donated chairs and other equipment to the village church.
