Margaret Mary Schaefer (nee Sieja), 94, formerly of Arlington Heights, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Born February 27, 1925 in Chicago. Margaret was a teacher for the disabled for over 25 years at Rand and Thomas Middle School. She was devoted to her faith, especially the Virgin Mary. She enjoyed writing and playing the game of Scrabble. She will be missed by her family. Beloved wife of the late Albert; loving mom of Thomas “Tom” (Norma), Peggy Schaefer-Ranallo, Barbara (Roland) Johnson, Mary Anne (Todd) Hirstein and the late Bill, James and Peggy’s twin sister Donna; cherished grandma of Vince, Kristen, Dan, Jamie, Barbara and Steven; dear daughter of the late Edward and Helen (nee King) Sieja; kind sister of Jean Loiacano and the late Ralph and Sr Mary Edwardine BVM and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass 9:30a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 434 W Park St, Arlington Heights. Inurnment St Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
