Obituary for Mary Cybulski (Weingartner)
Mary Elizabeth Cybulski, nee Weingartner, 83, of Streamwood; loving wife of the late Walter; fiercely devoted mom of Michael and Suzy (John) Milliron. Cherished daughter of the late Carl and Vera Weingartner. Dear aunt, cousin, godmother and friend of many.
Mary grew up in Chicago and spent the first 27 years of her life on Pittsburgh Avenue, graduating from Ressurection High School in 1954. Mary married the love of her life, Walter, in 1964. Mary and Walter bought their first home in 1968 in Streamwood where they raised their children Michael and Susan. Mary worked for the Village of Streamwood in the Public Works Department for 18 years. Mary lived in that first home in Streamwood for just shy of 53 years.
Nothing was more important to Mary than her Family and Friends. Whether hosting or attending, Mary loved gatherings that allowed her to celebrate with those that she loved. Mary enjoyed games, cards and puzzles and solved the Rubik’s cube before anyone in her immediate family. Mary’s joy in seeing family and friends succeed drove her to join Facebook in her 70’s so that she could see and celebrate the accomplishments of her loved ones.
Visitation Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 S. Greenmeadws Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood. Funeral Saturday 9:15 am prayers at the funeral home going to St. John the Evangelist Church, mass 10:00 am. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to St John the Evangelist church at mystjohns.org or Mercy Home at mercyhome.org would be appreciated.
