Michael L. Walker, 62 of Hanover Park (since 1986) and formerly of Chicago; husband of Catherine, nee Emmerich; dad of Michael D. (Jennifer), William (Julie) and Jonathan (Cassie); grandpa of Emma, Sagan, Claire, Cameron, Andrew and Avery; brother of Karen (Bob) Carrera and David (Jean); uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mike was a proud member of the Chicago Labors Union for 33 years. He retired from Jimmy Z' Masonry in 2011. He never called in sick and took great pride in his work ethic. You could always find Mike on Sundays at the 55 yard line - hooting and hollering at his beloved Bears. Visitation Thursday 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood. There will be a time for stories and prayers beginning at 7:00 pm. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence would be appreciated.
