Obituary for Richard Ferguson

Visitation for Richard R. Ferguson, a resident of Schaumburg for almost 50 years will be held Tuesday May 14, 2019 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Funeral Wednesday 9:15a.m to St. Matthew Church Schaumburg. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.

A Korean War Veteran, having proudly served in the U.S. Army, Rich was a Vice President of the Audit Dept. at 1st National Bank in Chicago for many years. Later he worked as an auditor at Old Second Bank in Aurora. He was also an diehard Bears, Cubs and Notre Dame fan.

Richard is the beloved husband of 62 years of Charlotte L. nee Graff; loving father of Susan (Robert) Holzkamp, Deborah (Mike) Ahlert, Cynthia (William) Zydowsky and Lori (Timm) Bottoni, also Dennis (Lois) LaFever; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Cameron) Clark, Samantha (Anthony) Selvaggio, Matthew (Jena) Holzkamp, Michael (Cassidy) Ahlert, Emily (Edison) Irizarry, Christina (Thomas) Haynes, Amanda (Matthew Prusak) Ahlert, Rebecca LaFever, Weston (Danii) LaFever, Benjamin and Olivia Bottoni; proud great grandfather of Evelyn, Maxine, Maryn, Ruby, Stella, Adalynn, Elayna and Charlotte; dear brother of Vic (Rose) Snyder, Janet Lough and the late Pat Waggoner; uncle of loving nieces and nephews.
