Obituary for Robyn Fram

Robyn Louise Fram(nee Borchardt), 66, passed away on Monday, December 2,
2019, after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer.

Robyn was born on Sept. 15, 1953 in Chicago, the daughter of Robert
and Evelyn Borchardt(nee Kunzelman). The eldest of four sisters, she enjoyed spending
time on the extended family’s farm in Alma Center, WI. She graduated
Bradley University and continued to further her skills through
conferences and seminars throughout her life.

She married George Brent Fram on Feb. 15, 1981 in Las Vegas – the
first of many adventures in their 38-year marriage. They made their
home in Roselle, IL and welcomed son George Robert in 1982. Robyn
was a deeply devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy was her
family, and she spent countless hours playing with cars with her son
and learning the finer points of diesel engines at museum visits and
family vacations.

Robyn was a gifted accountant with a meticulous eye for detail and
drive for lifelong learning. She joined Hausman-Kunkel Insurance in
Roselle in 1987, where she worked for 32 years. Her family’s biggest
regret is that she won’t be able to enjoy her impending retirement.
Like everything else she tried, she would have excelled.

She was a kind person with a can-do spirit and generous smile and
laugh. Robyn loved planning the next trip or family reunion, spending
time with her family, and taking pictures to remember moments like
meeting a dolphin or the perfect sunset. She enjoyed “The Wizard of
Oz” and staying active through long walks and yoga. She will be deeply
missed by all who were lucky enough to love her and learn from her.

Robyn is survived by husband George of Roselle, IL; son George(Ashley) Fram of St. Louis, MO; sisters Ruth(John) Stoeckel of Rochester, MN, Kathryn(Mark) Kornatz of Lombard,
IL, and Karla(Dan) Lang of Elgin, IL; many beloved
nieces and nephews; friends and coworkers; and adoring grand-dogs
Bella and Maddie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Friday, December 6 from 10:00am until time of service 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church 405 S. Rush St., Roselle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may
be made to the American Cancer Society. at www.cancer.org
