I was and still am a member of the hood. My hood name is Beetle. I am the only member to resign from the hood. Put it in writing on a bar napkin at Otto's. Commish was leveling a fine on me for insubordination. So I resigned instead of paying the fine. Well, it still cost me a 30 pack of Old Style to get remitted back into the hood. Going to miss that benevolent dictator.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Commish was my friend and we had many great conversations together at our favorite Pub.

Fond memories of Russ conspiring with me to play pranks on his friends at Night Court. His Tin Man costume one Halloween which inhibited him from bending his arm so I had to pour the beer down his throat every 5 minutes as I made my rounds. Babysitting our 10 year old son and teaching him to play “Ship, Captain, Crew” ... and loosing to him! Monthly poker games at my house while he needled me and my sister-in-law for using the cheat sheet to play and still managed to beat him. Installing tile at our house; his fee, a home cooked meal and all the leftovers. Teaching me and my older son how to set tile and use a wet saw. Hanging out with Russ and Sarge while he paid our son to cut his grass using his ride-on mower which we know he loved to ride. And the countless times he had my back in dangerous situations at the bar. After my husband, he was my best friend.
