Thomas L. Carroll, 74, of Bartlett and formerly of Schaumburg and Wilmette; husband of Margaret "Peggy", nee Ryan; dad of Michael (Jackie), Kimberly (Jim) Moore and Katie (Ron) Williams; grandpa of Daniel and Erin Moore, Mackenzie and Ryan Carroll, Kyle, Jake and Braiden Williams; brother of Nancy (late Bob), Patrick (Pam), Mary (Tom), Nell (Mike) and the late Fr. Bill Carroll and the late Michael (Dawn). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Russell and the late Jean. He is also missed by the two family dogs Bear and Moose. Tom was a proud Marine, who served his country as a tank commander in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He was a dedicated employee of Osco for 30+ years. He and 11 others took a leap of faith when they left Osco and started Ulta Beauty, Inc. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, golfing and photography. Visitation Thursday, April 18th, 9:00 am until time of service 12:00 pm / noon at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Interment Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Toys for Tots would be appreciated.

We are so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. (In our house, we called him, Mr Tom) We moved across the street from him and Peggy almost 3 years ago. Very welcoming, always stopped for a chat. Wonderful man. Prayers to you all.
