Thomas "Tom" W. Rehfield, 70, of Bartlett, IL and formerly of Carol Stream, IL, died at his home surrounded by family on August 27, 2019. Tom was a graduate of Northwestern University where he studied music (as a tenor), which played a large role in his life. He performed with summer stock musical theater while younger, participated in choirs wherever his family attended church and regularly sang with his family at home. Tom was a lifetime Chicagoan and an avid Chicago sports fan, including the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and 2016 World Series Champion Cubs. When Tom was not spending time with his kids and grandchildren, he spent time as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Resurrection church men’s group and participated in the PADs ministry. His faith and his family (followed closely by the Cubs) were of fundamental importance in his life. He encouraged and instilled the importance of volunteering, being grateful and humble.
