Valerie M. Profit, 69, of Schaumburg, passed away peacefully December 6, 2019. Valerie – fondly called "Peaches" by her family - was the beloved mother of Montgomery D. Proffit and Maurice (Christine) Proffit; proud GiGi of Marie Proffit, Montgomery D. Proffit II and Matthew Proffit; loving sister of Booker T. Montgomery Jr. and Ronald H. Montgomery; cherished daughter of the late Booker T. Montgomery, Sr. and Alberta Montgomery.
Valerie was a loyal member of Christian Tabernacle Church. She fully engaged in attend church activities, travel with friends and theater arts. Valerie was always very active. She enjoyed long walks and was an avid reader.
She played an intricate and unique role in social services within the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Her heart was to serve and help others. For over thirty years, Valerie helped single mothers, welfare to work participants, senior citizens and many others obtain marketable skills to obtain gainful employment. She served as Director of Employment for various municipalities in the area, linking employers with qualified residents. Valerie was also the founder of Powerhouse Productions.

The Memorial service for Valerie M. Profit will be held on Sunday, December 15, 3:00pm at Christian Tabernacle Church 100 S. Park Street, Roselle. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory.
