Dear Sharon, Shawn, Shannon, Sheila and children; Please accept our condolences on the sudden passing of your Dad and Grandpa. He will be missed! In family gatherings, I remember him as a quiet strength; never raising his voice, punctuating conversation with his happy laugh, and simply "being there." He didn't fail to be with my Dad when Dad had just said good-bye to Mom about 3 months ago now. He came the Friday before her memorial service and then joined the family the day after for a wonderful meal and enjoyable visit while out-of-town family was still around. The formal service was Saturday and, loyal to his ministerial duties, your Dad attended to them, but still carved time out for his brother and family.
I am thankful your Dad didn't suffer his last hours, nor have any chance to be troubled. His confidence was in Jesus, his Lord and Savior, and for that I'm even more grateful. Uncle Wendell has won his eternal rest and is reunited with your Mom, their parents, Uncle Ed, and other family members that have gone before. He is free and perfectly whole and happy again!
I hope you can take heart as well, in your family's love and camaraderie, and in the comfort God gives His people.
We wish we could be together during this time. I realized in January how special family is during these time of loss and sadness. Family members understand like others are unable!

God bless you, one and all.
