Obituary for Charlene Zmich

Charlene Zmich
Charlene Zmich, 68, peacefully joined her daughter, Dawn Wiesike, and parents, John and Marie Klosinski, on October 30, 2018. She was born April 17, 1950, in Chicago, Il.
Charlene exemplifies thoughtfulness, integrity, love, and forgiveness. She lives the golden rule to always be kind to others. She is a mother that displayed unconditional love to her two children whom she adored, Lane and Dawn. She spoke with her daughter every day until Dawn’s journey to heaven. Char feels Lane is her rock and gives her strength. Lane is a devoted son and states that his mom is his hero.
Char is admired for her positive and upbeat perspectives, even when trials challenged her throughout her life. Char is a very practical person with a great sense of humor. Her cheerful spirit is always hopeful and her smile brightens any room. She appreciates the simple things in life and meets every day with a great outlook. Each obstacle is met with optimistic determination. Her inner strength comes through with her outward attitude. She influenced others to have joy because she shared her joyful heart.
Her devotion to her family doesn’t stop with her children as she spent several years caring for her mother, Marie, and always has time to lift the spirits of her friends. Char is an exceptional mother, daughter, relative, friend, and always a very good person.
Char attended Alvernia High School in Chicago, then transferred to Jones Commercial Academy where she acquired office skills that served her throughout her life. Char has an amazing work ethic. She retired from United Airlines after becoming a respected scheduler for over 40 years. Her vision to see all sides of any position were an asset for her successful career. She passes those traits onto her son, Lane. Like airplanes at O’Hare, she departed but is just out of our sight. Her spirit is always close to her loved ones.
Charlene is survived by her loving son, Lane A. Wiesike; her siblings, Richard Klosinski and Janice (Wally) Ellison; her dear aunts, Florence Wysocki and Sue (John) Schutz; nieces and nephews, Karen Komes, John Klosinski, Debby Grovak and Glenn Grovak; and many, loving cousins and her eternal friends.
Preceding her in death are Dawn Marie Wiesike, her lovely daughter, John and Marie Klosinski, her caring parents, and many other relatives near and dear to her heart. They are doing the polka in the dance hall in the sky!
Interment will be private. There will be a Celebration of The Amazing Influence of Charlene Zmich in the spring of 2019. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alexian Brothers Hospice, 901 Martha St., Elk Grove Village, IL. 60007 or The American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
