Obituary for Charles Leutz

Charles Francis Leutz, 84, of Streamwood. Born April 27, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of George and Grace (nee Agnew). Charles was a proud retiree from the US Navy having served in both WWII and the Korean Wars. He loved taking care of his yard and was a fan of all Chicago teams. He especially enjoyed being with his family. Beloved husband to the late Barbara; loving father to Janice (Steven) Smith, Barbara Neal and the late Kenneth; cherished grandfather to Lisa (Scott), Lindsie (Dan), Thomas, Melinda, Keri and David; caring silly grandpa to Scott, Adam, Nikolas, Jack, Charles, Cody, Morgan, Andrew, Samantha and Zoe; fond brother to George (Joan) and the late Grace “Bubbles”. Visitation Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 3:00p.m. until time of service 7:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. The family would like to give a special thanks to the 5North staff at St. Alexius Hospital for all of their help and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alexian Brothers Foundation, in honor of the staff of 5North at St. Alexius, 3040 Salt Creek Ln, Arlington heights, IL 60005.
