An "Ode to Dave" You love him when he was a boy And he grew into a man, it was a different joy To lose a child is such a great sorrow It feels like you can't face tomorrow We know God has is reasons to call Dave home But, please know you are not alone We share in your grief and love And would rather Dave was here, than up above We'll always cherish the memories we shared Like, when we were kids and hadn't a care Our lives may not have intertwined like at the start But, our cherished friends are always in our heart We stand with you while Dave is lifted on an angel's wing In hopes that someday our hearts will once again sing

I was saddened to hear about my good friend Dave Domin who passed away in a motorcycle accident on Monday. I have known Dave and his family for over 40 years and it has been an honor and a privilege to have known him and to call him my friend. I will never forget the fun times we had growing up together with him and his brothers...those were some of the best days of my life. He will be missed. Until we meet again on the other side, Rest in Peace. Tommy "Troubles" Stefan

To the Domin family: Although I didn't know Officer Domin personally, I am a resident of Hoffman Estates and am deeply saddened on your loss; he is gone too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of Offcr. Domin's family and friends. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling. To his parents: Thank you for raising a hero that served not only his community but country proudly. He took an oath to serve and protect and did so with honor and pride. May God grant you all peace, strength and comfort at this very difficult and sad time. May memories help sustain you through your grief. May you take solace in the surrounding of those around you. And may Offcr Domin rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
