RIP Don you will be missed but I will see you again once I'm in heaven. I will miss the daily calls of your jokes after 23 yrs of being with Joann. I think I've heard them all at least 100 times but I never got tired of hearing them. You now can sing a duet with Elvis Presley himself up in heaven :-) and be happy seeing your family and friends again. Thanks for all the memories Don and God bless you and say hi to Elvis for us!

Nancy, Jo, Pam, everyone in the family - knowing Don as well and as long as I have, he would probably expect me to insert a really bad joke or pun somewhere in here, but, he is going to be disappointed. He proved that he was a fighter time and time again. He overcame a lot, which makes it so tough to find he is gone. He was stubborn but sensible. If you told him the why, in plain terms, he never argued and I think that his ability to do so kept him strong for as long as it did. I will miss his voice, his smile, his laugh, his friendship. We called each other buddy for a long time and that's because the formal relationship of doctor and patient was pushed to the side many years ago. That type of bond just doesn't happen much anymore as things have changed around us. They could not change us. I will miss him a lot, although not by far as much as all of you. Faith has kept you all strong through the struggle and the spirit and will of the family will keep you strong through the pain and the loss and faith will keep you safe. My deepest sympathies to you all.
Don, when you have a minute, tell St. Peter the one about the old Italian guy in the confessional....
