Obituary for Donald "Don" Mazzone Sr.

Donald “Don” F. Mazzone Sr., 79, formerly of Bartlett, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born June 6, 1937 in Chicago; Don enjoyed golfing, traveling, bowling, and always family gatherings. He was active and was very handy. He will be missed by the family he loved so much. Beloved husband of the late Arlene; loving father of Donna (Rich) Wermes-Babica, Darlene (Dana) Rathman, Denise (Jack) Shibona and Donald Jr. (Jennifer); cherished grandfather of Stephanie and Gregory Wermes, Alyssa and Jake Shibona, and Anthony, Dylan and Olivia Mazzone; caring son of the late Dominic and Nancy (nee Caetta); dear brother of Albert (Rose), John, Anna Marie Chamberlain and the late Alfonzo and Ned; kind brother-in law of Sally; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation 11:00a.m. until time of service 2:00p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Following service cremation at the Countryside Crematory.
