Obituary for Emily Salvesen

Emily G. Salvesen, 95, of Streamwood died Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born March 28, 1921 in Akron, OH. Emily was an animal lover, especially dogs. She enjoyed shopping, garage sales, cooking/baking and was an avid Blackhawks fan. She will be greatly missed by her family. Beloved wife of the late Robert H.; loving mom of Robert G. (Jan), Raymond (Susan) and Roger (Ursula); cherished grandma of Robert J. (Jill), Pamela, Valerie (Michael), Glenn (Sarah), Mark (Michelle), Jenny (Greg); caring G.G. of Madison, Matthew, Annora, Braylee, Emery, Addie and Levi; dear daughter of the late John and Anna (nee Dvoracsek) Voglein and sister of the late John Voglein; kind aunt of Pennie, Judy, Jeannine, Jackie and Carol and fond sister-in-law of Irene Voglein. Visitation 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Saturday 9:15a.m. to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. The family is especially grateful to the staff at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials to www.ASPCA.org or to www.humanesociety.org, would be appreciated.
