Obituary for Florian Janesak

Florian Stephen Janesak, 76, passed away in hospice care at his son’s home on August 26, 2017. He was born on May 13, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Florian and Anne (Heklowski) Janesak. Florian was the oldest of three children. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Chicago and earned his Associates Degree in Electronics at DeVry University and an MBA in Business at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Florian moved his family to Hanover Park, Illinois in 1974 and worked for Motorola for the majority of his career, as an Electronic Engineer. He retired in 2003 from the cellular phone division of Motorola, as the Programming Manager for the UK Cellular phone group. He had the opportunity to travel many times overseas for his job and enjoyed sharing the stories of his trips abroad. Florian was also an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his family.
Florian is predeceased by his wife, Jeanette Rosa Janesak. He is survived by his children, Darrell (Kelann), Michael and Jennifer Janesak (Pat Hallihan); his grandchildren, Luke, Caelen and Noah; his brothers, Robert (Sharon) and their son, Matthew, of Pomona, NY; and Ken (Gretchen) of Ruckersville, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett, with visitation from 2:00pm until time of service 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memoriam to one of the many wonderful organizations that help support wildlife would be appreciated.
