Irene S Mandrek (nee Adamczyk), 83, of Bartlett, died Sunday, September 10, 2017. Born January 1, 1934 in Poland. Irene enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was especially known for her sauerkraut. She liked Wheel of Fortune, giving directions and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of 61 years to Alfred; loving mom of Norbert “Bert” and Anita Lagergren; cherished grandma of Evan and Lauren; caring daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria Adamczyk and kind sister of 5. Visitation 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 9:15a.m. to Resurrection Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
