Obituary for Karen Schuessler

Karen Lee Schuessler Visitation for Karen Lee Schuessler (nee Ramey), 68, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St. (at Middle St.), South Elgin . Prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Patrick Church, St. Charles, for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, St. Charles. Born Aug. 19, 1941, in Chicago, she died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Sherman Hospital. Karen was a member of the Northwest Circle of Friends for 10 years. She also enjoyed mahjong, shopping, lunch with friends and being with her family. She was the beloved wife of Hagen Schuessler; loving mother of Debbie (Jerry) Buttice and Christine (Tony) Lomnicky; cherished grandmother of Tyler, Matthew, Kailee, Brett, Alyssa, Stephen, Nathan and Andrew; dear daughter of William and Wilma Ramey; caring sister of the late Rosalie Dillman, the late Wallace Reid, the late Laura View and the late David Ramey; and fond aunt of William Moffett. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
