Obituary for Peter DeRivera

Peter R. DeRivera of Streamwood; beloved husband of Daniella (nee Novalich); loving father of Paul (Teresa), Kathryn McCord and Nancy Gibson; cherished grandfather of 10; proud great grandfather of 13 and great-great grandfather of 2. He was one of 15 children and is survived by Lee, Leo and Rudy.


Peter was a 30 year employee with the US Post Office, Scout Master of Troop 227, WWII Army Ranger in the Pacific Theater having earned 2 Purple Hearts. He was a member of CFU, Am Vets and an usher at St. John the Evangelist Church.


Visitation Sunday, February 5th, 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Monday, 9:45 a.m. to St. John the Evangelist Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Burial Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org would be appreciated.
