Obituary for Roger Hamann

Roger Hamann, 69, of Roselle, IL died peacefully on January 29, 2017 with his family by his side. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He was born on September 5, 1947 in Arlington Heights, IL to Arthur and Lorraine Hamann. After graduating from Forest View High School, he served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1971 Roger joined the Rolling Meadows Police Force where he served 28 years. During his retirement, Roger was a talented craftsman.
Roger is survived by his wife, Linda of 45 years, his children, Brian (Danielle), and Amy (Adam), and his beloved granddaughter, Natalie. He is also survived by his brother, Marvin (Yukari), sisters, Joyce (Fred) Brockie and Irene (Rocco) Militello, and many nieces and nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara.
Funeral service and interment private.
The family of Roger Hamann wishes to thank the staff of Alexian Brothers Hospice for their loving support during his final days.
