My sincere sympathy to all of Dave's family. For Gayle, and the children, in particular, I'm sure you know this, but it should be said again, that Dave's creativity and programming excellence allowed insanely great systems to be built at Discover Card that larger teams in other companies could not begin to understand or replicate. Dave's professional skills were only exceeded by his great spirit and that twinkle in his eyes.
